Legendary amongst thru-hikers on the Appalachian trail the Lone Peak is in part responsible for the growing popularity of walkers wearing running shoes rather than boots.

The Loan Peak has a little more cushioning (25mm) than the Superior (21mm), an integrated stone guard for more protection and a grippier outsole for more traction.  While it can\'t be classified as a barefoot shoe because of the cushioning underfoot, it is still a minimalist shoe, allowing our feet to function naturally and offering a wide toe box for toes to splay and zero drop (flat with no heel).
